The Mission Salvador Team
The Salvador team is made up of three families: The Maberys, the Porters and the Quireys. Together we represent three countries, five states and four universities. Some of us have masters degrees in missions, others have bachelors in Liberal Arts. Combined, we’ve got five children, all but one of whom were born in Salvador. The youngest is about six months and the oldest is five.
Although we come from diverse spiritual backgrounds and experiences, our passion for God unites us. We’re not just looking to teach, we desire to learn as together we seek a closer relationship with our Father.

Where We Came From
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been on this journey for seven years. As a team we spent nine months training with Continent of Great Cities. We arrived in Salvador in March 2005 and spent time in language learning and settling in before launching the church in 2006.
Through the years our team has seen many changes. Several babies have been born. Some families have moved on.
All of us have experienced incredible spiritual and emotional growth through learning to put our absolute faith in God and work to serve him as one team.
